Considering an accounting program?

Then you have surely heard about Mamut. Choose something else.

Mamut has in the past year had a severe problem. When sending many invoices per email your email client will show all invoices as sent.

In reality however, many of the invoices may not have been sent, and you will have to spend a lot of time om finding out which invoices are missing and re-sending them. In addition the money you are waiting for will be delayed. On top of this you get angry customers who are frustrated about receiving an overdue notice for a bill they never received.

The problem occurs when you send more than about 20 invoices in bulk, and that is not really many.

This is the latest answer I received when I asked Mamut for the 3rd time to solve this problem:

"This problem is caused by the software which was used to develop Mamut and because of this the problem can not be soved in a simple way. It might not be fixed until Mamut is rewritten in another programming language.
This might be several years in the future and I dare not to say when this will be altered. "

In other words, do not expect a solution for this problem in the coming years.

Need an accounting program, and you want to be able to send invoices by email to your customers?

Choose something else than Mamut. There are undoubtedly better options.
